Coating Application Specialist - Industrial Painter
Coating Application Specialist -Industrial Painter are responsible for the application of protective coatings to bridges and other structures to protect them from corrosion and other environmental damage. This involves the preparation of surfaces for painting and the application of primers, undercoats and top coats using spray equipment, roller and brush. The Bridge Painter must ensure that all surfaces are adequately prepared and that the paint is applied per the required industry standards. They must also be able to identify any areas requiring repair and be able to select the correct materials and methods for the job. Strong attention to detail and an understanding of health and safety regulations are essential.
We are seeking individuals interested in commercial painting/wall decorating and looking for a great career within the union. No experience is needed to become an apprentice. Must have 5 years of brush, roll, and airless spray experience (you will be expected to show that you know how to use, maintain and troubleshoot the airless spray equipment properly) to become a journeyperson. We have several offices throughout the DC-21 jurisdiction. Offering $22 to $27 per hour depending on skill set and location. Requirements
