Established in 1906, Operating Engineers 324 has played a central role in building, operating and maintaining Michigan’s industrial infrastructure. As time and technology advanced, our Members began working on internal combustion engines, electric motors, hydraulic machinery, refrigeration systems and even the operation of nuclear power plants.Today, over 100 years from our founding, we are the highest trained, certified and experienced experts in our industry. Yes, we are proud of our rich heritage, but we are also proud of our excelling performance today, knowing that the work we do changes the lives of everyone in Michigan

OE324 Heavy Equipment Technician Apprenticeship

The OE 324 Apprenticeship program consists of supervised on the job experience and related classroom instruction.


 The Heavy Equipment Technician Apprenticeship is a 4 year and 8,000 hour program consisting of both on the job hours and classroom training hours.   



Requirements

 MUST have military experience with heavy equipment.  


MUST be 17 years of age or older.  


MUST be a highschool graduate or possess a GED.  


MUST be a United States Citizen or Legal Immigrant.  


MUST be a resident of the State of Michigan.  


MUST have a valid Michigan Driver’s License.  


MUST have a DD214 form.  


MUST have an updated resume.
